Meet Mrs. Lawrence
Mrs. Lawrence is new to the Mills Park family this year. She has twelve years of teaching experience, and most recently came to NC from Denver, Colorado. Her teaching career has taken her all over the beautiful United States and to the Netherlands. She has taught many age ranges spanning from primary to intermediate grades and into middle school math. Most recently she participated in a Digital Educator Program with her school district in Colorado. She is originally from the suburbs of Washington D.C. and attended college at Ohio State University as well as Syracuse for her master’s degree. She looks forward to guiding students through a year filled with inquiry and discovery.
Meet Ms. McCaslin
Ms. McCaslin is beginning her third year at Mills Park. This year marks her tenth year as a Wake County teacher, and she is very excited about the opportunities in store for the 2012-2013 school year. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In the spring, she was accepted to the North Carolina Kenan Fellows Program, and is excited to share what she has and continues to learn throughout the experience with her students. She looks forward to a year filled with academic, social, and emotional growth as she works to prepare her students for the transition to middle school and their future education.
